Maps of Meaning, Lesson 10: Conclusion of Maps of Meaning

Lesson #10 – Conclusion of Maps of Meaning

(Note: If you’d like to read along with me, you can get Jordan Peterson’s Maps of Meaning on amazon.)

“Interest is Meaning. Meaning is manifestation of the divine individual adaptive path. The lie is abandonment of individual interest..” – Pg. 467

Conclusion

I appreciate every single one of you who have gone on this journey with me. I deeply believe that this idea of the hero’s journey – the best pathway through life – is invaluable, and when integrated, can dramatically improve our experience of being alive.

I believe that, in the final analysis, Maps of Meaning will prove to be one of the most important books ever written.

To deeply understand the heroic narrative is to inform yourself with the wisdom of the humanities – to take all those myths, religions, stories, and philosophies – and to synthesize them into an actionable schema which makes us better friends, lovers, teammates, and participants in the world drama.

It is the work that we do in private which makes our public contribution possible. I applaud the efforts you are making to integrate this wisdom and bring more Good into the world.

Sincerely, thank you for going on this journey with me, and I hope you have found it as rewarding as I have.

See you all in the New Year with some more Wednesday Wisdom,
